Living the Practice
Reflections from the heart of practice — gentle reminders, lived insights, and moments of clarity gathered along the way. Each note is a way of living the practice beyond the cushion and into the rhythm of daily life — where awareness meets the ordinary and blossoms quietly into wisdom. 🌸
I Give Because I Am
I give because it’s who I am –
not to be matched,
not to be measured.
My presence, care, and attention
flow from the abundance within me.
Others may meet me as they can;
their capacity is not my reflection.
I receive from life
in a thousand quiet ways —
through beauty, peace, laughter, sunlight in the garden,
purring warmth, morning stillness,
the miracle of being here.
My giving is not depletion;
it is expression.
And I am always replenished
by the Source
that breathes through me.
May your giving
flow effortlessly this season.
Giving is not something we do to earn love — it’s how love moves through us. When our actions flow from inner abundance, there’s no depletion, only expression.
Refinement
There are days when I wonder
if my gifts are being used enough.
When the old voice measures worth
by income and output,
I pause and remember —
not all creation is visible.
What I do makes me happy.
I help others by sharing
my path, my lessons, my light —
by smiling, listening, encouraging
I’m enjoying this season of space —
learning, recording meditations, creating,
socializing a kitten, tending the garden, simply being.
Maybe the thought that “my talents aren’t fully used”
is just an old program
still running.
I am not underutilized. I am being refined.
Every act of care - even invisible -
strengthens the field
that sustains my work.
This isn’t the absence of success.
It’s the deep,
unseen phase of becoming.
Not all creation is visible. Some seasons are meant for refinement.
